Terms of sale

1. Who you are buying from
papur.shop is a trading name of Leon Govier, a sole trader, trading from Flat 1 Washington House, Stanwell Road, Penarth, CF64 2AE. Our VAT registration number is [VAT number — to confirm].
You can reach us at support@papur.shop. We print in the United Kingdom through a trade printing partner.
2. Quotes and prices
Every price we give you comes from our rate card, not an estimate. When you ask for a price we write a quote record and hold that price for 48 hours. After that the quote expires and you will need a new one; the price may have changed.
Prices exclude VAT, which is charged at 20% at checkout, and include free delivery to UK mainland addresses. We price in fixed quantity tiers. If you ask for a quantity between two tiers we price the next tier up and you receive the larger quantity — you are never charged a worse unit price for asking for fewer. Orders above the largest tier we hold are quoted by hand.
If a price on this site is obviously wrong — a misprint or a data error — we are not obliged to supply at that price. We will tell you before taking payment and you can withdraw.
3. Placing an order
Accepting a quote and paying forms the contract. Artwork is supplied after payment. Your order is not scheduled for press until artwork has been supplied and approved.
4. Artwork
You are responsible for the artwork you supply, including its content, spelling, layout and any permission you need to print it. We do not proofread, correct or redesign your files, and we do not check whether you own the rights to what you send us.
Artwork must be a print-ready PDF, exported to PDF/X-1a:2001, in CMYK, with 3mm bleed and fonts outlined or embedded. Resolution depends on the product — 600dpi for business cards, 300dpi for most things, 150dpi for large-format posters — and bound work needs extra clearance on the binding edge. Each product page states its own requirements, and we check your file on upload.
That check catches the faults that stop a job on press. It is not a proof: passing it does not mean the artwork says what you intended. If we cannot use your artwork, [unusable artwork policy — to confirm].
5. Delivery
We deliver across the UK, including the Isle of Man, Northern Ireland and selected areas of the Scottish Highlands and Islands. We do not currently ship to Jersey, Guernsey, the Republic of Ireland, or anywhere outside the UK. Delivery is free and included in the price shown. Standard turnaround is 3–4 working days from artwork approval — not from payment. Express is the next working day after the press takes the job, which holds if artwork is approved by 14:00; after that deadline the job goes to the following press and we date it accordingly before you commit.
Orders go out with DPD, tracked, and DPD will text you on the day with a delivery slot. Working days are Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. Turnarounds are our genuine expectation rather than a guarantee: we will tell you promptly if a job is going to be late.
6. Cancelling, faults and refunds
Printed goods are made to your order, which affects your right to cancel. This is set out in full in our returns and cancellations policy.
7. Our liability
If we get a job wrong we will reprint it or refund it. Beyond that, our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — for example a missed event, lost business or the cost of work you had done elsewhere in reliance on a delivery date.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited in law.
8. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
Note: checkout on this site is currently a demonstration — no card is charged and no order reaches the press. These terms describe the service as it will operate when payments go live.
